Oscar 2017/2018: Primeiras apostas

Começou a corrida pelas premiações dos filmes lançados em 2017. Desde novembro já foram entregues cerca de 24 prêmios que indicam as primeiras tendências para as futuras indicações do Oscar 2017/2018 e demais premiações mais importantes. Na verdade, será um ano difícil, especialmente nas quatro categorias principais. Os primeiros prognósticos, por Tommy Beresford:

— Para Melhor Filme, cinco filmes estão despontando: “Corra!”, o mais premiado até agora, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”, “The Florida Project” e “Lady Bird”, ainda sem título em português, e “A Forma da Água”. Como em geral são de 9 a 10 indicados, “Dunkirk” deve estar na lista também.

— Para Melhor Diretor, a disputa sem dúvida será entre Guillermo del Toro (“A Forma da Água”) e Jordan Peele (“Corra!”), mas Christopher Nolan (“Dunkirk”), Greta Gerwig (“Lady Bird”) e Paul Thomas Anderson (“Phantom Thread”) devem ser os outros 3 indicados, caso não haja supresas.

— As categorias de Melhor Ator e Melhor Atriz prometem o maior suspense (e talvez as maiores surpresas). Dois atores novatos e quase desconhecidos devem ser indicados e são por enquanto os favoritos: Timothée Chalamet (“Me Chame pelo Seu Nome”) e Daniel Kaluuya (“Corra!”). Gary Oldman (“Darkest Hour”) e James Franco (“Artista do Desastre”) correm por fora, e Daniel Day-Lewis (“Phantom Thread”) pode completar a lista. Mas Hugh Jackman (“O Rei do Show”) é uma opção caso o Oscar faça das suas e não indique um dos novatos…

— A categoria de Melhor Atriz é a mais dificil (pra variar). Francis McDormand (“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”), Sally Hawkins (“A Forma da Água”) e Saoirse Ronan (“Lady Bird”) disputam palmo a palmo a premiação, com Margo Robbie (“I, Tonya”) podendo também ser indicada.

— Melhor Ator Coadjuvante fica entre Willem Dafoe (“The Florida Project”) e Sam Rockwell (“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”).

— Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante tem uma franca favorita, Laurie Metcalf (“Lady Bird”). Allison Janney (“I, Tonya”) corre por fora, também com chances.

— Para Melhor Roteiro Original a disputa também é grande. “Corra!” (Jordan Peele) é o grande favorito, mas “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” (Martin McDonagh) e “Lady Bird” (Greta Gerwig) também têm grandes chances.

— Para Roteiro Adaptado, a disputa deve ficar mesmo entre “Me Chame Pelo Seu Nome” (James Ivory) e “Artista do Desastre” (Scott Neustadter, Michael H. Weber)

— Em Melhor Fotografia, despontam “Blade Runner 2049” (Roger Deakins) e “Dunkirk” (Hoyte Van Hoytema).

— Se não houver nenhuma surpresa, “Viva – A Vida é Uma Festa” deve levar como Melhor Filme de Animação: ganhou quase todos os prêmios que disputou até agora.
